Privacy Policy

The Association of Water Technologies (AWT) respects the privacy of its members and other visitors to its website. AWT strongly believes that for the success of online activities, consumers must be assured that information provided online is used responsibly and appropriately.

Collected Information

Most data collected is used only to help improve our website and to better serve our members.  It is our general policy to collect and retain only personal information knowingly provided by our members and visitors.  If this policy changes, we will notify members via email and post an announcement on this website.

For General Users: We do not collect personal information from individuals browsing the website.  The public areas of the website are accessed and browsed anonymously.  Aggregated data – such as the number of hits per page – are collected and only used for internal assessments and marketing purposes.

For Association Members, Conference Registrants, and Other Customers: To gain access to members-only resources and personalization features on the website, members and other users are asked to register and provide some limited information.  This information is submitted voluntarily.

Information provided by conference registrants may also be provided to exhibitors and sponsors should attendees opt in to be contacted by exhibitors and sponsors, but such information is not sold or distributed in any other manner.

AWT does not disclose credit card account information provided by members and customers.  When e-commerce transactions are completed via credit card, we submit only the information required for our contracted processor to complete the process.  We do not retain credit card information.
